Fintech startup Sinapse acquires accounting firm Uptick

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL — Brazilian fintech startup Sinapse Finance has acquired renowned accounting firm Uptick in a strategic move to offer comprehensive financial services for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
The acquisition integrates Uptick’s operations into Sinapse’s platform, positioning Sinapse as a “one-stop shop” for SMBs’ financial needs.
Sinapse aims to reduce the financial burdens on entrepreneurs so they can focus on business growth.
Uptick, known for innovative accounting approaches, will continue operations under Sinapse.
Uptick founder Fernando Ribeiro will join Sinapse as a partner overseeing accounting and financial business process outsourcing (BPO).

The deal expands Sinapse’s capabilities as digital banking adoption increases in Brazil. Over 98% of bank customers use digital banking, and more than half leverage the instant payment platform Pix.
With an expanded service portfolio, Sinapse is poised to support the digital transformation and growth of SMBs in Brazil’s evolving financial landscape.
