Red Envelope acquired by Quince to anchor new division

VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES — Red Envelope Consulting, a woman-owned human resources consulting firm, has been acquired by visual technologies company Quince Imaging.
Red Envelope will become the core of Quince’s new Critical Infrastructure and Transportation division.
Founded in 2014, Red Envelope Consulting provides human resources outsourcing, outplacement services, training, and talent management. Zoominfo estimates the company’s annual revenue at $926,000.
Quince appointed industry veteran Ron Birkla to lead the new division and integration efforts. Birkla brings over 30 years of experience designing and integrating audio-visual systems for airports including JFK, Columbus, Albany, and Philadelphia.
According to Quince, the launch of the new infrastructure division aligns with its vision to remain an innovator in visual technologies. Growing demand in transportation and infrastructure markets was cited as a key driver of the expansion.
The Sterling, Virginia headquarters of Quince will serve as the home for the new division. It houses a demonstration black box space to showcase future AV applications for clients.
“This facility gives us the opportunity to do things no other consultant or integrator can do to build and demonstrate full scale mockups that show off the future of AV in transportation and operations centers for our clients,” Birkla commented on the headquarters.
According to Birkla, past consultants’ short-sightedness has led to fragmented, costly systems. Quince’s strategy focuses on the client’s long-term vision to reduce complexity and costs.
The Red Envelope acquisition marks a major expansion for Quince Imaging into transportation and critical infrastructure visual technologies.
