Tech Mahindra welcomes new CMO in strategic leadership reshuffle

PUNE, INDIA — Tech Mahindra, one of India’s largest IT services firms, has brought on board Peeyush Dubey as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking a key phase in the company’s senior management reorganization.
With over a decade of experience at Infosys and subsequent roles at Mindtree and LTI Infotech, Dubey brings a wealth of marketing expertise to the Pune-based firm. He is expected to play a pivotal role in augmenting Tech Mahindra’s brand narrative.
This appointment follows the company’s announcement of an internal restructuring, revealed by Managing Director and CEO designate Mohit Joshi during Tech Mahindra’s recent Q2 earnings conference.
Joshi, set to assume his role on December 20, says the new organization structure will shift from a geography-focused approach to a vertical-wise focus with six strategic business units: Americas Communication, Americas Technology Media, Americas Diversified, EMEA, APJ, and India.
This strategic reshuffle also includes the promotion of Harshvendra Soin, the current global chief people officer and head of marketing, as President for APJ (Asia Pacific Japan) telecom and enterprise business.
The new leadership structure arrives at a critical time for Tech Mahindra as it navigates a challenging economic climate.
The company reported a significant decline in net profit for Q2 at INR 4.94 billion (US$60 million, attributing the 61.6% fall to increased expenses and cautious client spending.
The firm had a net income of INR 56 billion (US$721 million) in 2022.
Tech Mahindra ranks #11 on the Time Doctor OA500, the first objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
