Accenture boosts public offerings in Italy through Intellera Consulting buy

MILAN, ITALY— Outsourcing company Accenture has acquired Intellera Consulting, an Italian firm that operates in the public administration and healthcare sectors.
“As we continue to focus on serving modern, responsible, citizen-oriented government, integrating new talent and skills from Intellera will expand our capabilities to deliver innovation and transformation for our public service clients,” said Mauro Macchi, chairman and chief executive officer of Accenture Italia.
Intellera Consulting was founded in 2021 and offers a suite of services to public agencies. These offerings include digital, strategic, and organizational transformation processes using data and artificial intelligence.
“Our skills, energy, and enthusiasm now have a new home and our ability to support the crucial transformation journey undertaken by the public administration, healthcare, and public services of our country has been strengthened,” said Andrea Gabardo, chief executive officer of Intellera Consulting.
Switzerland-based investment firm Gyrus Capital backs the firm. Intellera Consulting’s team of 1,400 experts facilitates the use of EU funds across the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Accenture company has been ramping up its M&A initiatives in Italy. The new deal comes three months after the acquisitions of Customer Management IT and SirfinPA.
Accenture ranked #1 in the OA500 2024, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. This is the second year the company clinched the index’s top spot.
