Ghana’s strategic position in the growing global BPO market
The newly launched facility aims to position Ghana as a highly competitive entity in the global BPO market, while the current industry valuation stands at $321 billion and is projected to grow to $525 billion by 2030.
Africa accounts for just 2% of this market, with South Africa, Egypt, and Morocco dominating 87% of the continent’s share.

“Our vision is to tap into the market potential by positioning Ghana as a hub for digital outsourcing, taking advantage of our growing digital ecosystem, skilled youth, and strategic location in Africa,” he stated.
The center delivers solutions through its call center operations combined with AI solutions, IT training, and digital marketing services for clients both internationally and within the country.
Creating digital jobs to combat youth unemployment
A key focus of the AIDEC Digital Hub is tackling youth unemployment by creating job opportunities and providing skills development programs.
Emmanuel Gbeve, Chief Technology Officer of AIDEC, emphasized the facility’s compliance with international standards for data protection and service delivery.
“We have secured authorization from the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and implemented robust security measures to ensure we meet international standards for data protection and service delivery,” he noted.
David Gowu, CEO of Business Outsourcing Services Association Ghana (BOSAG), revealed an ambitious five-year target to create one million jobs in the BPO sector. Going forward, the hub plans to deliver training for graduates and IT professionals within digital customer relations, together with IT support.
Since 2020, AIDEC has maintained consistent growth in Ghana’s tech ecosystem through its established initiatives, including the AI Center of Excellence and SaaS-based platforms Africoursity and AIDECIA.
Stakeholders agree that collaboration across the technology ecosystem is crucial for Ghana’s emergence as Africa’s premier outsourcing destination.
