Cloudstaff taps staffing veteran Macon Albertson to lead North America

NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES — Cloudstaff, a global provider of virtual staffing solutions, has appointed Macon Albertson as General Manager, North America, tasking the 25-year industry veteran with leading the company’s expansion strategy from its new base in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Albertson, whose career includes senior leadership roles at Randstad and Tatum, will be responsible for driving client partnerships and operational growth as Cloudstaff accelerates its presence in the United States market.
Leadership fuels North American growth
Cloudstaff’s decision to bring Albertson on board is an indication of its determined effort to expand its operations as demand for workforce solutions rises.
Albertson has been in the business for a long time; he has worked for nearly 10 years at Randstad, where he served as Executive Vice President and later as President and CEO of Tatum, a Randstad organization. He worked in recent years with several staffing and professional services companies as an advisory consultant.
His track record in the career has been characterized by the formation of scalable, high-performance organizations and by providing strategic clarity that helps businesses expand in a predictable, profitable manner.
Albertson will lead operations in the region, where long-term client relationships will be the priority. His recruitment is based on Cloudstaff’s active growth phase in the U.S., which has been supported by new infrastructure development to cater to North American organizations seeking high-quality talent solutions.
Lloyd Ernst, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of Cloudstaff, emphasized, “Macon’s background leading large-scale staffing operations, combined with his instinct for building trusted client partnerships, makes him exactly the right person to lead our North American expansion.”
Global infrastructure meets enterprise demand
Cloudstaff is enhancing its capacity to deliver to clients across various geographies through a network of global delivery centers. Recently, the company has entered Colombia, adding to its existing centers in the Philippines and India, and will soon be in Kenya.
This international network provides North American clients with a presence among specialized professionals through a talent pool of around 1 million across over 150 roles.
Albertson pointed to this infrastructure as a key differentiator in the marketplace. He noted that North American businesses are under real pressure to build the right teams, quickly and sustainably.
“What Cloudstaff has built, combining enterprise-grade technology with genuinely invested talent across global delivery centers, gives clients something most providers can’t offer: a team that feels like their own. That’s what I’m here to help more businesses experience,” Albertson explained.
Cloudstaff ranked #84 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2026 edition of the OA500 is expected to be released soon. (Read the OA500 2026 methodology paper here.)
