Nigerian BPO bets on Africa’s talent for global opportunity

LAGOS, NIGERIA — George Badejo-Adegbenga founded Ethica Resolve in 2023 with approximately $100,000 from personal savings and contributions from business partners, building a Nigerian business process outsourcing (BPO) company focused on training young Nigerians to internationally employable standards and connecting them to global clients.

iDICE training programme extends Ethica Resolve’s reach across six states

Badejo-Adegbenga, a lawyer by training, said the company was formed in response to a gap in affordable, internationally trained talent across West Africa and the structural unemployment that gap generates.

Ethica Resolve is participating in the iDICE (Innovation, Digital and Creative Economy) BPO Training-to-Jobs Programme, operating across all six South-West states of Nigeria to train candidates to a standard compatible with international employer requirements.

The company’s long-term infrastructure goal is to build a first permanent BPO headquarters with capacity for more than 5,000 staff, a scale that would make it one of the larger purpose-built BPO facilities currently planned in West Africa.

Ethica Resolve said the training model was designed to create employment pathways for young Nigerians while simultaneously providing global outsourcing operators with a vetted, skills-certified talent pipeline they could not otherwise access from the region.

Nigeria ranks 6th globally as African markets gain ground in outsourcing rankings

Nigeria ranked sixth globally as an outsourcing destination in a May 2026 ranking by Ataraxis, a United States-based consultancy, placing it just behind South Africa in fifth and ahead of Kenya in 11th.

The ranking cited Nigeria’s strong English proficiency, competitive labor costs, and high talent availability as the primary drivers of its positioning among non-traditional outsourcing markets.

Africa’s three leading outsourcing destinations — South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya — are collectively gaining ground in enterprise buyer shortlists that previously treated the Philippines and India as the only viable alternatives to domestic delivery.

Ethica Resolve said skills development, BPO infrastructure investment, and strategic international partnerships were the three components needed to translate Nigeria’s global ranking into contract wins for Nigerian providers.

For enterprise buyers evaluating Africa as a delivery region, the combination of a sixth-place global ranking and active government-backed training infrastructure gives Nigeria a more structured entry point than markets that rank on talent alone without the industry programs to support placement.

Ethica Resolve CC’s iDICE participation signals that government and private sector investment in Nigeria’s BPO pipeline has moved from aspiration to active delivery, even at an early stage of company scale.
