Korn Ferry completes its acquisition of RPO firm AMS

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Korn Ferry has completed its acquisition of AMS, a United Kingdom-headquartered recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and managed service provider (MSP) firm, for approximately $1.1 billion (£850 million).
The deal, which closed September 2, 2026, unites more than 16,000 colleagues across executive search, leadership advisory, consulting, and workforce solutions under one integrated talent platform.
Expanding talent solutions across the full workforce lifecycle
AMS, acquired from OMERS Private Equity, generates approximately $650 million in annual fee revenue and holds more than $1.5 billion in contracted future business.
The transaction combined approximately £473 million in equity, $326 million in cash, and 3.1 million Korn Ferry shares, according to a report from Hunt Scanlon.
The combined organization delivers recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), executive search, leadership advisory, and managed service delivery through a single integrated platform.
“By bringing AMS into the Korn Ferry family, we are expanding our ability to help clients solve their most critical organizational challenges,” said Gary Burnison, chief executive officer (CEO) at Korn Ferry.
Building a recurring advisory talent model at scale
The Korn Ferry-AMS combination positions the firm to shift from project-based executive search toward long-term, platform-driven workforce advisory. The deal adds artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and data analytics tools that AMS developed for workforce planning to Korn Ferry’s consulting portfolio.
Together, the two firms target recurring advisory revenue over transactional search mandates, aligning with a broader outsourcing industry shift toward end-to-end workforce partnerships.
Burnison added, “Despite all of the technological innovations of yesterday, today and tomorrow, the real driver of organizational success is people.”
The acquisition reflects a consolidation pattern seen across the talent industry, where scale and specialization are converging as organizations seek partners that span the entire workforce lifecycle.
Korn Ferry’s absorption of AMS, one of the largest RPO firms by contracted future revenue, mirrors similar moves among the top outsourcing companies competing for integrated workforce mandates.
For businesses reviewing talent suppliers after major transactions, the combined entity signals a growing market for end-to-end advisory and delivery at scale.
