Accenture boosts cloud, supply chain with dual acquisitions

BOSTON, UNITED STATES and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — Accenture, a global professional services giant, has made a significant move to enhance its consulting and technology services in the United Kingdom by entering into agreements to acquire 6point6 and OnProcess Technology.
These strategic acquisitions aim to augment Accenture’s capabilities in government transformation and supply chain management, two critical sectors increasingly prioritized in the UK and worldwide.
6point6, a UK-based technology consultancy known for its expertise in cloud, data, and cybersecurity, will strengthen Accenture’s strategy and architecture capabilities, particularly in central government, defense, security, and financial services.
The company, founded in 2012, boasts a robust track record, including Europe’s largest cloud migration project for a UK government department and delivering significant time efficiency savings via digital services.
With approximately 400 staff across London and Manchester, 6point6 has become a leader in digital transformation, data analysis, and cybersecurity services.
“6point6 has an impressive reputation across the U.K. public and private sectors with its powerful combination of digital transformation, data and cybersecurity expertise,” said Emma Kendrew, Accenture Technology lead in the UK and Ireland.
“With Accenture’s breadth of consulting and technology services, it will add to our innovative team to help clients reinvent themselves with solutions that are fit for the future.”
Accenture topped the Time Doctor OA500, an index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing firms, with $61.6 billion in annual revenues for fiscal year 2022.
