Accenture acquires MNEMO Mexico, expands to Latin America
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO and NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Global professional services giant Accenture has acquired MNEMO Mexico, a privately held cybersecurity services company, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition expands Accenture’s managed cybersecurity services and strengthens its presence in Latin America.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Mexico City, MNEMO Mexico has over 200 cybersecurity professionals and 180 industry certifications.
MNEMO Mexico’s portfolio includes advanced cyber defense, response capabilities, a cyber intelligence platform with AI, and a 24/7 security operations center. Clients span telecom, banking, insurance, and other industries.
“The addition of MNEMO Mexico’s team will help us grow our business in Mexico, expand our presence in Latin America and support our North America business,” said Paolo Dal Cin, Accenture Security global lead.
The acquisition boosts Accenture Security’s global workforce to over 19,500. It extends Accenture’s resources in Mexico and Latin America to meet rising demand for managed security services.
Mexico ranks high globally for cyberattacks, and 59% of business leaders believe talent recruitment is a key challenge, per a 2023 Accenture-World Economic Forum report.
Accenture, having clinched the top spot in Gartner’s 2022 Managed Security Services report, has consistently amplified its global cybersecurity presence. Crunchbase data shows Accenture marked by 17 acquisitions since 2015, including Brazil’s Morphus earlier this year.
