Accenture Announces APAC Fintech Innovation Lab Participants

Global professional services firm Accenture has revealed the eight start-ups that will participate in the latest Asia Pacific edition of its accelerator program FinTech Innovation Lab, a mentorship platform conducted in partnership with leading financial firms. From a record list of 170 hopeful applicants, BAM Fintech, Datarama, FirstHive, Interlinkages Online, LeapXpert, MediConCen, Mellow and Webot have been chosen for their promising innovations in areas of financial education and planning, compliance and corporate banking.
According to Piyush Singh, regional program sponsor and senior managing director in Accenture’s financial services practice in Asia Pacific, the program will allow the start-ups to tweak their business plans and services, while giving participating financial firms a view of the innovations that will shape the industry in the future. The winning start-ups will undergo a series of development activities for 12 weeks with technology entrepreneurs, industry experts and senior executives from matched financial companies. The program will culminate in November with the participants presenting their projects before venture capitalists, the media and financial industry executives.
