Allowing BPOs WFH helps curb Covid-19

The Department Of Health (DOH) concurs with the Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) motion to extend Work From Home (WFH) arrangement for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) workers saying that it could help contain the spread of Covid-19
Health secretary Maria Rosario S. Vergerie said that they agree when asked about her thoughts following Finance Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno’s proclamation on the continuance of the WFH setup to Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies.
“Yes, we agree to this because we know that more interaction (would mean) there is more transmission of diseases.,” Vergeire mentioned.
The Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) extends the Work From Home arrangement for the Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) firms with full tax incentives upon registration to the Board Of Investments (BOI).
