Customer services firm Alorica Inc has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the US by Inc. magazine in its 37th 2018 Inc. 5000 List. The outsourcing firm ranked 1,684 out of 5,000 companies on the list, which is considered as one of the most respected rankings of US fast-growing private firms. Alorica ranked 31 out of 86 firms headquartered in California and 152 out of 471 within the business products and services category. Alorica attributed the recognition to the company’s three-year growth rate of 273% due to strong sales, strategic expansions and acquisitions. Founded nearly 20 years ago, Alorica is the largest customer experience provider in the US, and third largest in the world. It operates in 130 locations across 14 countries. In the Philippines, where the company has substantial operations, it is currently battling a labor dispute in which a number of Alorica’s workers have announced an impending strike, a first in the Philippines outsourcing industry. The Unified Employees of Alorica union announced they might call a strike to protest what its members claim are unjust labor practices and job insecurity.
