Altius Link emerges as Japan’s new digital BPO powerhouse
TOKYO, JAPAN — Japan-based outsourcing firms KDDI Evolva and Relia will merge operations to form a new company, Altius Link.
Set to launch on September 1, 2023, the alliance aims to drive digital business process outsourcing (BPO) business growth domestically and globally.
Altius Link’s focus extends to contact centers and back offices, targeting to upgrade service quality via digital transformations, including adopting artificial intelligence (AI).
The strategic merger aligns with the current societal demands, such as the pressing need for corporate digitalization and tackling labor shortages.
With the contact center industry pivoting from human-led to AI-centric operations and from voice-to-text and web-based interactions, Altius Link is poised to offer innovative digital BPO solutions to bolster customer companies’ growth.
Altius Link brings significant scale, with sales projected at ¥240 billion (US$1.7 billion), over 1,300 business partners, approximately 58,000 employees, and close to 100 locations.
With these metrics, it would become Japan’s largest contact center in terms of sales. KDDI Evolva is a subsidiary of KDDI and Relia is backed by Mitsui & Co.
