A&M Tax bolsters global advisory capabilities with new appointments
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLC (A&M Tax), an affiliate of leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has expanded its global talent pool by appointing five new Managing Directors in the United Kingdom and the U.S.
The new hires — Steve Henshaw, Anthony Whatling, Tom Lobb in the UK, and Jerry N. Smith and Tim Trifilo in the U.S — bring a wealth of experience across multiple markets, industries, and tax practices.
Their addition reinforces A&M Tax’s mission to provide tailored tax solutions to clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals to multinational corporations.
“Our talent expansion bolsters our ability to provide tailored tax solutions that help clients capitalize on opportunities locally, regionally, and internationally,” said Marvin Rust, Managing Director and head of A&M Tax Europe.
“A&M’s integrated platform, freedom from audit conflicts, and global network of tax advisors, with in-depth local knowledge, will be critical for continuing to mitigate risk and create value.”
The appointments follow A&M Tax’s recent expansion into Switzerland with the hire of Dr. Kersten Honold as the Swiss Tax practice leader, and into Australia, led by Sean Keegan.
Ernie Perez, Managing Director and Global Practice Leader of A&M Tax, highlighted the firm’s growth trajectory, stating, “We expanded our world-wide talent base by 40 percent in 2023 and anticipate an additional 30 percent increase in 2024. This group of tax professionals enhances our ability to serve clients’ increasingly complex global tax needs.”
A&M Tax offers outsourcing services that aim to address key issues, including assessing generalist providers, optimizing expenses, and leveraging “as a Service” options, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
