transcosmos expands construction-focused BPO center in Fukuoka
TOKYO, JAPAN — Business process outsourcing (BPO) firm transcosmos inc. (transcosmos) has expanded its BPO Center in Fukuoka to meet the growing demand in the construction segment.
Launched in July 2020 with 200 workstations, BPO Center Fukuoka Gofukumachi will now add 200 new members, bringing its workforce to 480 employees. It will also expand its floor space by approximately 988 square meters to 2,349 square meters.
The construction industry is prioritizing process optimization and digitization to comply with the Revised Labor Standards Act, which will take effect in April 2024.
transcosmos has been providing specialized services for the sector, including Construction Digital BPO for construction-related operations and “to BIM,” a comprehensive building information modeling service.
With expertise in the construction industry, transcosmos aims to support the sector’s digitization journey through its expanded operations in Fukuoka. The move aligns with the company’s goals of assisting clients’ business transformations and boosting employment opportunities.
Last year, transcosmos announced that it would open the BPO Center Sendai Itsutsubashi in Sendai, Japan, in April 2024.
The center will have around 200 workstations and provide back-office services like administration, human resources (HR), accounting, procurement, purchasing, and sales support. It aligns with transcosmos’ goals of supporting clients’ business transformations and creating local job opportunities.
