Atento appoints new top officials

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) giant Atento S.A. recently appointed Dimitrius Oliveira as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and board member.
Oliviera has more than 20 years of experience in the technology and business services sectors. Prior to his new role, he served as Atento’s South America Regional Director and transformed Atento into the top outsourcing player in Brazil.
Atento’s Chairman of the Board Robert Payne said that they are confident that Oliviera “is the best positioned to assume this role given his significant experience at Atento and his strong business vision and operational insights.”
Oliveira succeeds Carlos López-Abadía, who will continue working with Atento as an advisor.
Meanwhile, to ensure a smooth leadership transition, Atento also appointed Anil Bhalla as its new Executive Chairman of the Board. Replacing Payne’s position, Bhalla would lead key strategic transformational initiatives and specific growth objectives within the firm.
Before his Director role at Atento, Anil held the position of CEO at the Minacs Group, a company that was later acquired by Concentrix, the US customer experience company, where he held the position of Senior Vice President Emerging Business.
“I look forward to supporting Dimitrius in his new role as we work to solidify Atento’s financial position while transforming and elevating Atento’s next-generation customer experience and unmatched near shore and LatAm capabilities,” said Bhalla.
Payne will continue to provide his support and guidance to the company as a Non-Executive Director.
