Bain Capital to acquire VXI

Private investment firm Bain Capital is in advanced talks to buy outsourcing firm VXI Global Solutions from Carlyle Group Inc for an estimated US$2 billion deal.
According to sources, Bain became the likeliest buyer for the business after outbidding other buyout firms and industry players.
VXI Global runs delivery centers in nearly a dozen Chinese cities and is considered one of the biggest foreign BPO providers in the world’s second-largest economy.
The outsourcing firm has an established Latin American presence, specifically in Guatemala and Jamaica.
In 2017, Carlyle became the majority shareholder of VXI after acquiring a stake from owners including Bain. The company has expanded both organically and via acquisitions.
