CALLS PLUS to expand multilingual call center services in Louisiana

US-based multilingual call center and bilingual answering service company CALLS PLUS will be expanding its multilingual call center in Lafayette, Louisiana – with plans to retain 37 jobs and create 50 new direct jobs in the city.
CALLS PLUS is a call center company that specializes in safety, healthcare, and counseling hotline services.
The company’s primary clients are governmental organizations requiring case intake, nurse triage, end-to-end patient management, trend analysis, dispatch, and more.
CALLS PLUS President Barbara Lamont said that they chose to invest in the city due to the infrastructure provided by the Lafayette Utilities System that helped them “transition from fiber landlines to Voice over Internet Protocol.”
She added that with their new team members, they are planning to “gain critical knowledge and experience in skills” — such as mental health first aid and newer technology.
Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards congratulated the “woman-owned, minority-owned company” in its continued growth, adding that their services “are essential in expanding access to mental health care in our communities.”
Hiring for the expansion has already started with the available position expected to be filled by mid-2022.
