CCI approves Betaines’s acquisition of HGS healthcare BPO
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) gave its approval to Betaine’s acquisition of the worldwide healthcare BPO services of Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS).
The acquisition would grant Betaine access to HGS’ assets, contracts, and employees in its healthcare division.
Betaine has been recently incorporated in the Netherlands for this transaction, making this the company’s first business venture. It is affiliated with Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) through The Baring Private Equity Asia Fund VIII.
International private equity firm BPEA holds investments in Information Technology (IT), IT-enabled services (ITeS), and BPO services in India.
