Cloudstaff acquires optiBPO to boost global growth strategy

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Australian-based remote staffing platform and Outsource Accelerator (OA) Source Partner Cloudstaff has taken a significant step in its two-year global growth strategy by acquiring Sydney-based optiBPO, an offshoring consulting business.
The acquisition was completed earlier this month, and while the terms were not disclosed, it was confirmed that Cloudstaff funded the deal using its cash reserves.
“We’ve been working exclusively with Cloudstaff since 2016 and are now delighted to be deepening our partnership. For our clients, it is business as usual, but we look forward to working with Cloudstaff to further improve our service delivery over the next period,” optiBPO Director Jamie McBrien said.
optiBPO facilitates the establishment of offshore operations in the Philippines and serves clients in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
“Now, as companies review their costs in the face of economic uncertainty, Cloudstaff is perfectly positioned to deliver the skills they need to survive and thrive, even in tough times,” said Cloudstaff Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Ernst.
“Cloudstaff is on the hunt for further acquisitions of this type and we’re in active discussions with a number of companies that will help us to quickly expand our global footprint,” Cloudstaff Chief Commercial Officer Jason Foster added.
Cloudstaff is forecasting a 55% revenue growth as it embarks on an acquisition spree and a 70% employee expansion by the end of 2023.
Cloudstaff has ranked 56th on the newly released Time Doctor OA500, an index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing firms and a vital tool in assisting the BPO decision-making community.
It is also subscribed to the OA Source Partner Program, a powerful tool that helps BPO firms with marketing, sales, and business intelligence. The program also co-promotes its partner BPOs to OA’s web traffic and inbound leads and assists them in generating sales.
