Cognizant aids Takeda’s tech talent search

NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES — Business process outsourcing (BPO) company Cognizant has inked an expanded agreement with biopharmaceutical company Takeda to help attract and hire key technology talent to advance its digital transformation.
Through the “build, operate, transform, and transfer” or BOTT model, Cognizant will set up a team focused on delivering digital capabilities, initiate operations, automate functions, and then transfer management to Takeda.
Cognizant will leverage its expertise in emerging technologies and tech recruitment to support Takeda’s data, digital and technology ambitions by reinforcing its Innovation Capability Center operations.
Founded in Japan, Takeda operates in over 70 countries and regions. The U.S. comprises 48% of its market base, followed by Europe and Canada (20%), and Japan (18%), while emerging markets comprise 14%.
The biopharma firm develops medicines for the fields of oncology, rare diseases, neuroscience, gastroenterology, plasma-derived therapies, and vaccines.
