Cognizant to acquire AustinCSI

Multinational information technology services and consulting company Cognizant recently entered into an agreement to acquire digital transformation consultancy firm AustinCSI.
In a press release, Cognizant said that the acquisition complements its tech and vertical industry expertise and helps enrich its advisory capabilities to continue providing comprehensive digital strategy and innovative solutions to clients.
Adding AustinCSI’s enterprise cloud and data analytics expertise supports Cognizant’s strategic focus on expanding its Consulting practice and advisory capabilities to provide clients with end-to-end digital transformation strategy and industry-led solutions.
Michael Valocchi, Senior Vice President, Head of Cognizant Consulting and Americas Strategy, added that AustinCSI had built a stellar reputation in the markets where Cognizant is also strong. This includes the telecommunications, media, technology, and automotive sectors.
“We look forward to welcoming AustinCSI’s talented experts to our team and further enriching the value we’re providing to our clients as they embrace [the] cloud, AI, data analytics, and other advancing technologies,” he added.
AustinCSI CEO and co-Founder Karen Moree added that this merger will help “provide more impact for our current clients with broader capabilities in emerging digital technologies and reach a wider market leveraging Cognizant’s global scale.”
The acquisition process is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, subject to the satisfaction of closing conditions. Financial details were not disclosed to the public.
