Deloitte debuts engineering unit to harness transformative tech

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Global professional services firm, Deloitte, has unveiled a new division: Deloitte Engineering.
Deloitte Engineering is designed to assist businesses in enhancing their software and product development capabilities by capitalizing on emerging technologies like generative artificial intelligence (AI), Web3, cloud-native applications, and connected products.
This focus comes in response to the rising influence of engineering in driving organizational growth, enhancing customer experiences, and accelerating market-wide innovation.
With a reported shortage of high-caliber engineering talent, as highlighted by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Deloitte Engineering plans to bridge this gap through its extensive cross-functional capabilities and robust client relationships.
Ranjit Bawa, Deloitte’s Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, emphasized the role of contemporary AI, cloud-native technologies, and modern operational methods in driving the agenda of Deloitte Engineering.
In June, Deloitte Digital and software firm Salesforce declared a collaborative effort aimed at equipping global organizations with the necessary strategies and accelerators to implement trusted AI for CRM.
Offering audit, consulting, financial advisory, and tax services, Deloitte made $59.3 billion in revenue for 2022. Its workforce also expanded to approximately 415,000 worldwide.
