Endava acquires DEK, boosts APAC presence

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — In a strategic move to expand its Asia Pacific footprint, UK-based next-gen technology company Endava has acquired DEK, a global firm specializing in software and hardware solutions.
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Australia, DEK employs 660 people across its offices in Melbourne, Ho Chi Minh, and Stockholm. The acquisition not only bolsters Endava’s telecommunications capabilities but also expands its customer base in Sweden.
The addition of DEK marks the third Australian business Endava has acquired in the past fiscal year, following Lexicon in October 2022 and Mudbath in May 2023. The move is part of Endava’s diversification strategy through M&A activities and represents a continued commitment to growing its presence in the APAC region.
“DEK brings with it great talent, with particular expertise in the globally innovative domains of telecoms and embedded tech. We’re excited by the opportunity to cross sell our capabilities to each other’s clients. We look forward to forging strong relationships with the new customers this merger is bringing to the Endava family,” said Endava CEO John Cotterell.
“Since our first contact with Endava, we have been impressed by their culture, quality and energy and we wanted to bring our businesses together. We are delighted to do so now. This is a positive move, as we now gain access to a broader array of skillsets, not to mention our people and businesses with the now accelerated growth potential,” commented DEK CEO and co-founder Drini Mulla.
Endava, with its over 11,000 global employees, has served clients including companies in Payments, Financial Services, TMT, Consumer Products, Retail, Mobility and Healthcare.
The company showed strong Q3 performance for its fiscal year 2023, as revenues reached GBP 203.5 million (US$255 million). This marks a 20.3% increase from the same period in the prior year.
