Formix launches EOR services across 150 countries

COLOMBO, SRI LANKA — A Sri Lanka-based recruitment firm can now offer employer of record (EOR) services across more than 150 countries through Deel, which holds the legal entities, regulatory licenses, and compliance infrastructure in each of those markets that providers must otherwise spend years and significant capital to establish independently.
According to a post on Formix’s website, Ramesh Jayanithu, founder and CEO of Formix, confirmed that the arrangement marks the first time a company based in Sri Lanka has made that scope of employer of record (EOR) capability available to clients.
Sri Lanka EOR reach expands through Deel’s global entity network
Sri Lanka’s EOR sector has historically trailed India and the Philippines, where established delivery infrastructure, regulatory clarity, and years of cross-border payroll experience gave providers a significant head start in placing staff across global markets.
Formix now matches that global footprint by routing client placements through Deel’s existing legal presence rather than building local subsidiaries in each target country.
By layering its recruitment, onboarding, and account management operations on top of Deel’s owned-entity infrastructure, Formix can offer clients a compliant, end-to-end international hire across more than 150 countries without establishing a direct legal presence in each one.
“This is the first time a company based in Sri Lanka can offer EOR services across more than 150 countries,” said Jayanithu.
Candidate database and platform services underpin client delivery
Formix brings a candidate database of more than three million profiles to the arrangement, providing recruitment and onboarding depth across multiple industries and geographies.
Jayanithu described the company as the top-ranked staffing and recruitment provider in Sri Lanka on both Clutch.co and The Manifest, attributing the standing to the quality of the local talent pool available to international clients.
Jayanithu noted that clients seeking Sri Lanka-based professionals for placements across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, or other markets within Deel’s network now have access to a single-vendor, legally compliant deployment path.
For companies evaluating global workforce deployment partners, the Formix-Deel arrangement signals that Sri Lanka-based providers have entered the employer of record competition at a global scale, extending the reach of Sri Lanka’s services export sector into international workforce markets that previously required a direct legal presence to serve.
