Globant acquires Exusia, boosts AI and data capabilities

FLORIDA, UNITED STATES — Globant, a digitally native company specializing in innovative technology solutions, has acquired Exusia, a U.S.-based IT services consulting firm.
While terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, this marks Globant’s continued expansion in the artificial intelligence (AI) and data engineering sectors.
Strengthening global presence
The acquisition, finalized on September 26, 2024, brings Exusia’s team of 400 professionals into Globant’s fold. These experts are distributed across talent delivery hubs in India, the U.S., and South Africa, significantly expanding Globant’s global reach.
“Exusia demonstrated the same strong commitment to quality and passion for challenging the status quo that we have at Globant. In addition to driving our growth plans in North America, this partnership represents our first expansion into South Africa, a dynamic business hub for the African continent,” said Martin Umaran, Co-Founder and Chief Corporate Development Officer at Globant.
Globant, with a workforce of over 29,100 employees across 33 countries, sees this acquisition as a strategic move to strengthen its presence in North America and expand into South Africa.
It recently purchased Blankfactor, a U.S.-based IT services consulting firm specializing in payments, banking, and capital markets, to strengthen its position in the financial services sector, particularly in North America and the United Kingdom.
Industry impact and future prospects
The acquisition is expected to significantly impact various industries. Exusia has a strong cross-industry footprint, with 80% of its revenues coming from the U.S. market. The company serves leading organizations in healthcare, logistics, financial services, and consumer products verticals.
Founded in 2012 by Trevor Silver, Exusia has a robust portfolio of partnerships with industry giants such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Ab Initio, and Google Cloud. The company has established itself as a leader in full lifecycle AI, data engineering, cloud migration, and analytics capabilities.
“Globant came to us with perfect timing as we were looking to scale and expand our core offerings to our clients,” said Silver.
“Our professionals all over the world will enjoy being part of such a great organization with an amazing working culture that is filled with opportunities to expand their skills and careers on a larger global stage.”
As Globant continues to strengthen its position as an AI powerhouse, this acquisition is set to create exceptional value for clients across various industries. The combined expertise of both companies promises to drive innovation and digital transformation on a global scale.
