PORTMORE, JAMAICA — Portmore Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of the Tewani Group, recently inaugurated GTECH Park Building 2, further expanding its capacity and offering around 1,500 new outsourcing jobs in Jamaica.
Covering five acres, GTECH Park boasts world-class facilities across three buildings and 240,000 square feet of BPO operational space. Building 2 alone can accommodate up to 4,500 individuals per shift, highlighting the company’s commitment to Jamaica’s real estate and BPO market.
During the opening ceremony, Minister of Investment and Industry Aubyn Hill lauded the growth of the BPO sector and acknowledged the Tewani Group’s significant contribution.
“This is a momentous occasion for me, and I want to say how proud this government is to be associated with such a developer as Gordon Tewani for his contribution to increasing the competitiveness of the BPO sector in Jamaica through GTECH Park and the addition of Building 2 in this thriving worker community of Portmore – which has an impressive trove of young, skilled and motivated workers,” Hill stated.
Anjana Tewani, a representative of Portmore Holdings Limited, expressed pride in the company’s achievements since the groundbreaking ceremony for GTECH Park in 2019.
Tewani added, “For the past five years, we have remained resolute in meeting the demand for the rapidly growing BPO industry and contributing meaningfully to the economic and infrastructural development journey of Portmore, as well as the economic growth of Jamaica.”
