RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA — HUMAIN, the artificial intelligence (AI) company owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), will engage professional services firm EY to develop the kingdom’s first AI-native business process outsourcing (BPO) service.

The service will run on HUMAIN’s full-stack AI ecosystem and aims to change how enterprises deliver, manage and scale operations.

Agents, automation and human expertise

The initiative aims to create a new category of AI-enabled business services that combine intelligent agents, automation, advanced analytics and human expertise into integrated operating models, according to an announcement from EY.

HUMAIN will provide the underlying AI technologies, infrastructure and agentic ecosystem, while EY will support the development and commercialization of HUMAIN’s solutions and bring functional, industry and go-to-market knowledge.

“Together with EY, we are building a new operating model where intelligent agents, automation, and human expertise work as one, enabling organizations to move faster, make better decisions and create entirely new sources of value,” said Tareq Amin, Chief Executive Officer of HUMAIN.

The engagement builds on an existing relationship between the two organizations and supports HUMAIN ONE, HUMAIN’s agentic AI platform for deploying AI-enabled workflows and automation across business functions.

EY to draw on finance, audit and tax teams

Abdulaziz Al-Sowailim, EY MENA Chairman and CEO, said the firm would bring capabilities across finance, audit, tax and advisory services to strengthen HUMAIN ONE.

“As AI becomes a fundamental building block of modern business, competitive advantage will come not simply from the technology itself, but from how it is applied with trust, expertise and confidence,” said Raj Sharma, EY Global Managing Partner for Growth and Innovation.

The companies said the initiative will integrate AI into end-to-end business processes rather than isolated workflows, to reduce operational complexity and let organizations use existing technology investments.

HUMAIN describes itself as delivering full-stack AI across data centers, cloud infrastructure, AI models including Arabic large language models, and AI solutions.

Neither company disclosed financial terms or a launch date for the service.

The move adds a state-backed agentic AI entrant to Saudi Arabia’s business process outsourcing (BPO) market.

Buyers in the region can compare the new model against established firms on the top AI outsourcing companies list, asking how much of each service is automated and who carries accountability for outcomes.
