Humanizing workplaces key to 2024 success, says HR leaders

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES — As leaders gathered at The Economic Times Future Forward Middle East Conference 2024 to discuss trends shaping the future of work, humanizing employee experiences emerged as a pivotal strategy for organizational success.
The second edition of the summit addressed over 400 human resources (HR) leaders.
Yasmin Taj, Editor of The Economic Times International, shared insights from the event themed “Humanising Work for a Sustainable Future.”

Overall, the summit called leaders to prioritize human experiences as they recalibrate 2024 strategies in the midst of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) taking center stage.
These key takeaways echo professional services giant Deloitte’s call for reinvention of HR, with its global human capital practice leader Art Mazor saying it’s time to put humans back at the center of work. “After all, it is humans, more than any physical assets, that drive business performance.”
