IT-BPM facility launched in Sagay City

Negros Occidental Mayor Alfredo Marañon III is aiming for Sagay City to be the next IT hub in the Second District of Negros Occidental.
As an initial move, the city government and Filipino-owned digital jobs aggregator Virtual Workforce Professionals (VWP) recently launched an information technology-business process management (IT-BPM) in the area. The partnership is seen to initially yield 20 seats that will host digital jobs for the city residents.
Second District Representative Leo Rafael Cueva emphasized that the district “has been very aggressive” in developing programs to attract IT-BPM-related investments. He added that there are major connectivity and infrastructure improvements in the district.
