Johnson & Johnson, global services among best firms to work for

Johnson & Johnson Philippines Inc. (JJPI) and its BPO unit Global Services (GS) Philippines have been named among the best companies to work for at the HR Asia Awards for their efforts to establish a healthy workforce by 2020 and promote a bias-free workplace. This is the second year that the two companies have received the recognition. Sean Zantua, human resources director for J&J Philippines and GS Asia-Pacific, said they believe in winning with people and the award reaffirms their commitment to building a high-performance culture that fuels their companies’ success.
Zantua said they offer health and wellness programs focused on the mind, movement, work and eating habits, citing JJPI’s newly renovated cafeteria that offers healthier food items and the firm’s on-site gym. There are also movement breaks every 90 minutes, an outdoor walking trail, sit-stand workstations and a 24/7 assistance program for stressed or depressed employees. Furthermore, JJPI and GS enable employees to spend more time with their families through flexible work arrangements, an on-site day care center and extended parental leave, while also promoting gender diversity and inclusion by providing gender-neutral restrooms, said Zantua.
