JPMorgan releases new mandate for unvaxxed workers

Multinational investment banking company JPMorgan ordered its unvaccinated Manhattan-based employees to continue working from home following New York’s latest COVID-19 protocols.
The bank encouraged its unvaxxed staff to get vaccinated against the virus in its directive through a company-wide memo. They are also urging eligible employees to get their booster shots.
Additionally, the firm eased up its mask mandates for vaccinated employees, only requiring them to wear face coverings when walking through lobbies, riding in elevators, and cafes when not eating.
The memo added that more than 90% of JPMorgan staff based in Manhattan are now vaccinated.
The state of New York has been tightening up its restriction in recent weeks due to the surge of new infections.
As part of the state’s current guidelines, businesses that are not asking for proof of vaccination must now require face coverings, and private companies are asked to enact a vaccine mandate by December 27.
