Lanao del Norte seeks to establish BPO outlets to encourage returning residents

Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda Dimaporo is developing other programs to encourage residents to the “Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa” (Back to Province) program. This includes the establishment of a business process outsourcing (BPO) operation in the area.
This was revealed by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Secretary Emmanuel Piñol in a statement. Additionally, the Mayor of Kapatagan is looking to establish a BPO outlet to employ returning Lanao del Norte province.
Piñol said that during their consultation meeting with several town mayors in Lanao del Norte, Dimaporo said she was willing to host more Balik Probinsya resettlement projects with the support of the different national government agencies.
