ManTech names Accenture veteran as Chief Digital Officer
VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES — Information technology services firm ManTech has appointed Christopher Copeland as its Chief Digital Officer.
In his new role, Copeland will spearhead ManTech’s digital transformation for clients in the Defense, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian sectors.
Copeland had a 25-year stint with Accenture Federal Services as Managing Director. He was responsible for guiding sales of cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to 15 Executive Branch departments and 60 agencies.
Copperhead will report directly to Joseph Cubba, ManTech’s Executive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer.
“As a proven force in transforming technology enterprise-wide for government, Chris belongs to one of the most elite groups in technology – individuals who stand as powerhouses of innovation,” said Joe Cubba, EVP and Chief Growth Officer.
“At ManTech he will play an instrumental role in directing and developing next generation technology solutions that solve our clients’ toughest challenges today,” said Matt Tait, who was named ManTech CEO and President in 2020.
“His work will be mapped to their future needs, amplifying our company’s industry leadership,” concluded Tait, who was nominated for his role in 2022. He succeeded Kevin Phillips, who transitioned to a chairman role.
ManTech has implemented changes to its leadership over the last few years. Months before Philips’ appointment as CEO, the firm named Stephen Deitz as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Federal Civilian Sector The IT consulting firm also appointed Julie Anna Barker as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2021.
