Medical Solutions appoints staffing veteran as CEO

NEBRASKA, UNITED STATES — Healthcare staffing firm Medical Solutions has appointed Rebecca Rogers Tijerino as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Tijerino brings over 25 years of executive experience in the recruitment industry. Before joining Medical Solutions, she was Group President of the staffing agency Randstad.
Before this, she was CEO of Intersect Group, a staffing firm specializing in technology and accounting recruitment. She has also held executive roles at staffing companies Adecco, Seaton Corp. (now TrueBlue), and Kelly Services.
Tijerino’s appointment will be effective on February 1. She will take over the role of Craig Meier, who has served as Medical Solution’s chief since 2014.
Meier will become Vice Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors, taking charge of the firm’s M&A initiatives.
“Having led Medical Solutions for nearly a decade, and with the company in a solid position as we look to the future, I am confident that now is the right time for a new leader to take the company forward,” Meier said.
This is Medical Solutions’ second straight executive shake-up following the appointment of Denise Dettingmeijer as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on December 1, 2023. She replaced Dan Shedivy, who held the position from May 2019 until Dettingmeijer’s nomination. Prior to joining the company, she was CFO of Randstad.
Medical Solutions connects nurses, allied health professionals, and other clinicians to hospitals and healthcare systems across the United States.
