Negros’ Victorias City welcomes first BPO
The City of Victorias in Negros Occidental welcomed the very first business process outsourcing (BPO) office to open in the locality.
On Wednesday BPO firm Global Strategic Business Process Solutions Inc. launched its office saying that the city is a promising location.
“We are really looking forward to more jobs and economic recovery in Victorias […] Victoriahanons (locals of Victorias) who are working in Bacolod won’t need to go to travel there anymore and they can be closer to their families, they can save money and time traveling,” Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, said.
Global Strategic is a homegworn company that provides outsourcied services globally. With the opening of the new office, the company is looking to grow its staff force to 70 by next month. Currently it is employing 50 people.
The BPO firm held special recruitment activities in the city prior to the opening of their new site.
