Japan’s Nisso Corp reports 7.9% revenue growth

TOKYO, JAPAN — Nisso Corp, a Japan-based staffing firm, reported revenue of 72.53 billion yen (US$487.8 million) for the first nine months of fiscal year 2023 ending December 31st, a 7.9% increase from 67.20 billion yen (US$451.9 million) in the same period last year.
According to the firm’s financial briefing, its operating profit rose 46.5%, and net profit climbed 48.9% compared to the previous year’s period.
Revenue in Nisso’s general Human Resources (HR) services segment during this period was up 8.2% year-on-year. Meanwhile, revenue in the nursing care/welfare services segment rose 1.0% year-on-year.
Looking ahead, Nisso forecasted a full fiscal year revenue of 97 billion yen (US$652 million).
Last month, the company announced an investment in Japan-based battery manufacturer APB Co.
Nisso Holdings shares closed at 845 yen ($5.68), down 2.99% on the day. The stock is 11.70% below its 52-week high of 957 yen ($6.44) from June 2023. Nisso Corp has a market capitalization of 29.64 billion yen ($199 million).
