PH named 4th top source of cybercrime attackers in APC

A LexisNexis Cybercrime Report for July to December 2020 named the Philippines as the fourth top source of cybercrime attackers in cybercrime attackers in the Asia Pacific region.
Companies using LexisNexis’ Digital Identity Network processed 47.1 billion transactions and recorded 2.6 billion cyber-attacks. While there is a slight dip in automated attacks during the pandemic, there’s been a recorded 32% growth in e-commerce bot attacks.
India was named as the top source country for cyber-attacks in the Asia Pacific, followed by Japan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, and Malaysia. On the other hand, their top five attack destinations were the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and Malaysia.
