PH received additional 500K Sinovac doses

The Philippines received an additional supply of 500,000 of Sinovac’s COVID-19 vaccines last Sunday. The government procured 25 million doses from the Beijing-based vaccine manufacturer, and the country received its first batch of one million doses last March 29.
The National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 said that Sinovac previously committed to delivering 1.5 million doses of the vaccine this April, then two million in May.
In a statement, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez, Jr., said, “It is very important because we are racing against time. Our cases are rising and we want to also inoculate our people immediately. And we are thankful to Sinovac for honoring their commitment to us.”
