PRC, PEZA collaborate to protect ecozones from disasters

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) have partnered with each other to create initiatives aimed at improving the protection of economic zones (ecozones) from disasters.
In an online forum last Friday, PRC Chairman and Senator Richard Gordon and PEZA Director General Charito Plaza have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will formally establish a framework for disaster preparedness programs in all ecozones across the country.
As per the agreement, PEZA and PRC will provide each other with necessary inputs to quickly develop these solutions by way of technical assistance and a list of priority areas.
Both parties also plan to look for joint cooperation opportunities in the improvement of disaster risk reduction and preparedness in all PEZA locators.
