Healthtech firm Premier Health buys Solutions Staffing
MONTREAL, CANADA — Premier Health, a key player in the Canadian health technology sector, has acquired Solutions Staffing, a specialized healthcare staffing services provider based in British Columbia.
Premier Health purchased 100% of SSI’s shares from its shareholders. The total minimum consideration is C$21 million (US$15.3 million) in cash, plus working capital and tax adjustments. Further payouts up to C$6 million (US$4.4 million) are contingent on SSI meeting earnings targets over the next two years.
Solutions Staffing offers flexible nurse staffing and allied healthcare professionals across Canada. It generated C$74 million (approximately US$ 54 million) in revenue in its 2022 fiscal year.
“The acquisition of SSI will result in Premier Health becoming a national service provider with activities across Canada, an important milestone for our company,” said Martin Legault, CEO of Premier Health.
Premier Health aims to accelerate Solutions Staffing’s growth in travel nurse staffing by leveraging its health technologies. It offers a range of outsourced healthcare services to public and private customers.
Meanwhile, Solutions Staffing sees potential to boost its community care services through Premier’s platforms.
Premier Health first announced the binding agreement in July 2023. Premier Health expects the deal to close within 90 days.
