Remote expands global HR offerings

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Remote, a platform for hiring and managing remote workers internationally, has launched a new Global HR Platform designed for companies with distributed workforces.
Founded in 2019, Remote aims to help companies hire the best talent globally by streamlining onboarding, payroll, taxes, and compliance across multiple countries.
The new platform consolidates HR tools into one centralized hub, offering integrated HRIS, Employer of Record services, payroll compliance, and time-off management tailored to global teams.
“Although the news headlines might talk about returning to the office, the reality is that many companies, if they do return to the office, they operate on a hybrid model,” said Job van der Voort, Remote co-founder.
“But most importantly, because the demand for remote work is so incredibly high, there’s a high opportunity for employers that want to hire the best person on the planet instead of looking in the local vicinity.”
Remote’s goal is to reduce onboarding time from weeks to days by streamlining paperwork and compliance. The platform provides real-time cost estimates for hiring in different locations.
By solving complexities of global employment, Remote makes distributed teams accessible. The startup saw rapid growth in 2022, reaching a $3 billion valuation with customers like GitLab, DoorDash, and Aston Martin. Remote’s own workforce spans over 70 countries.
