Rey Untal, IBPAP President resigns

Rey Untal will be stepping down as the President and CEO of the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) effective September 17, the agency announced Tuesday,
While the statement did not elaborate on the reason behind Untal’s resignation, it said, “IBPAP would like to thank Rey for having advocated strongly for the Philippine IT-BPM industry throughout his tenure and making certain that the sector’s collective voice was heard by various stakeholders.”
IBPAP Board Chairman Benedict Hernandez will assume the role of Officer-in-Charge as IBPAP searches for Untal’s successor.
Earlier this year, Untal forecasted that the Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) industry will grow five to six per cent this 2021.
