Robert Walters welcomes new CFO

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — David Bower has been named the incoming Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for international recruitment giant Robert Walters. His new role commences on September 4, 2023.
Bower steps in for the retiring Alan Bannatyne, who ends a successful 21-year journey to concentrate on his portfolio career.

Upon his appointment, Bower expressed delight in joining the company. “I very much look forward to working with (CEO) Toby (Fowlston) and the team to drive the business forward,” Bower said.
For Bannatyne, stepping down marks the end of an era, but with hopes high for the company’s future. “I have had an amazing career with the group, but the time is now right to step down to further pursue my portfolio career. I wish Toby, the board and all my colleagues across the group every success in continuing the Robert Walters growth story.”
Leslie Van de Walle, the company chairman, recognized Bower’s wide-ranging financial expertise and looks forward to his impact on the business. He also praised Bannatyne for his instrumental role in transforming Robert Walters from a 760-staff business into a global recruitment powerhouse.
