Robredo-Pangilinan tandem launches programs for BPO workers

Presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo and vice-presidential candidate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan are pushing for programs concerning workers in the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) and agricultural sectors.
In a statement, Robredo said she plans to push for government services centered on improving the quality of life and safety of outsourcing employees.
She proposes that the government should provide a safe and regulated transportation service for BPO employees that suits the time that they get off from work.
The Vice President also urged the government and private sector to provide daycare services for their workforce as 60% of BPO professionals are working mothers.
Robredo stated that this will encourage mothers to pursue employment as there would be someone who could take care of their children while they are at work.
