SharpenCX welcomes Charlie Newark-French as CEO

INDIANA, UNITED STATES — Indianapolis-based SharpenCX, a unified contact center platform focusing on agent-first solutions, has announced Charlie Newark-French as its new CEO. The appointment comes amid notable product development and customer growth for the company.
Newark-French, previously Interim CEO and COO at Hyperscience, an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning enterprise software firm, joins SharpenCX with a wealth of executive experience and expertise in UCaaS (unified communications as a service) and AI deployment in the enterprise sector.
His skills are particularly relevant for SharpenCX’s contact center clientele. Furthermore, his proficiency in M&A will be invaluable in creating effective customer solutions.
Speaking about his new role, Newark-French expressed excitement at returning to the contact center sector and leading SharpenCX through its next growth phase.
Citing the outdated technology in the $40 billion contact center market, he expressed eagerness to introduce modern tech stacks to contact centers via Sharpen, particularly focusing on expanding AI capabilities.
This announcement follows the company’s acquisition of Webtext, an omnichannel messaging solution, in April. SharpenCX continues to disrupt the CCaaS/UCaaS space with its comprehensive, AI-powered platform and agent-first approach.
