Sysgen Breaks Into Offshore Recruitment Process Outsourcing
Sysgen, a provider of IT staffing and recruitment in the Philippines, has ventured into the new offshore recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) market with the establishment of Sysgen RPO, where it employs Philippine-based US recruiters to manage the task of gathering and reviewing résumés, contacting qualified candidates and recommending them to US clients. Currently, Sysgen RPO is considered the leading Filipino-owned RPO firm focused on recruitment for US staffing firms, as offshore recruitment is still a new segment in the country’s IT-business process management industry.
Jimmy Roa, CEO at Sysgen RPO, said RPO does not have a division yet in the IT Business Process Association of the Philippines, although it falls under the call center category. Roa stressed the need to establish a new division as RPO is a growing sector and US staffing firms are starting to open operations in the country to back their US requirements. The CEO added that there has been an increasing demand for US recruiters in the Philippines due to the cost efficiency in the country, and the English proficiency and cultural affinity of Filipino recruiters.
