TaskUs, the California-headquartered customer experience outsourcing firm, has announced plans to open its first facility in India. This new operation – named Rangreza, a nod to the Persian term rangrez, which roughly translates as “person who plays with colours”– will open its doors in Indore, a city in west central India known for its business-friendly environment, comprehensive infrastructure and being voted India’s cleanest urban locale for three consecutive years.
Acknowledging the importance of the move for the company, Chief Executive Bryce Maddock said its expansion into India was an integral part of its bid to be the best tech-enabled business service firm in the world. Commenting on the choice of name for the new division, he said it reflects the company’s avowed mission to impact on the industry, while building a more vibrant world for its employees through its frontline-first culture.
Initially, Rangreza will launch with 500 employees with more added as it expands across other planned sites in India. TaskUs, which specializes in customer support, AI operations and content security, currently operates in the US, Philippines, Taiwan and Mexico.
