TELUS corporation to acquire competence call center

TELUS Corporation announced that it has agreed to acquire Competence Call Center (CCC), a business services provider focused on customer relationship management and content moderation, through TELUS International, a customer experience provider, for CAD1.3bn (USD986m), consisting of debt and equity. The deal adds significant scale and diversity to TELUS International and expands its enterprise value to about CAD5bn, said Darren Entwistle, president and CEO of TELUS.
Entwistle added that the acquisition boosts the continued advancement of TELUS International’s successful growth strategy by positioning it for a potential future IPO in the next 12 to 24 months, securing its continued growth in the coming years. The merger will also support TELUS’s ability to deliver differentiated customer experiences and give new go-to-market opportunities for the valued brands it partners with across the globe, the president explained. CCC, founded in Austria and headquartered in Berlin, serves 11 European countries.
